Egg, Sperm, and Embryo Donors
When becoming a donor, we provide consultation and evaluations as recommended by the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). A typical donor session discusses a little bit about the donor’s history, current circumstance, and future considerations for being a donor. It is a chance for the donor to ask questions and think about expectations and hopes for the donation process.
If this is a direct/known donation, the recipient(s) also participate in a session which addresses discussion of the use of known donor conception (using a known donor topics and considerations and talking to a child and others). Then there is also a group session together with all parties. This group session is a chance to come together with the recipient(s) and the donor (and donor’s partner as applicable) to continue to discuss, be on the same page, and have a basis for ongoing future conversations.
If you are considering being a donor or have been a donor and are looking for support in navigating things that have come up for you after donation, we are also here to help!
